A glimpse at TC41 Topics

The TC conference takes the form of peer-reviewed presentations and posters and features panel discussions and workshops.

Conference topics

Contributions will be invited on any topic related to the technology used in translation and interpreting, including, but not limited to CAT tools (e.g. Translation Memory (TM) systems), Terminology Management,  Machine Translation (incl. neural Machine Translation (NMT); rule-based MT; statistical Machine Translation (SMT)); use of MT; integration of MT in TM systems; quality assessment; post-editing; customisation and MT engine training), Quality Control, Interoperability, Natural Language Processing for translation and interpreting as well as Localisation, Translation Workflow and management.


Other important topics are training (including university translation programmes and the rapidly changing translation industry), tools and resources for translators, how to facilitate collaboration between translators and translation companies, and mobile technologies to support translators’ and interpreters’ work.
